Shirtless construction workers and eye candy for all

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he usual signs of summer in Finland, the bare legs and beer bellies, haven’t been out as much this summer. Perhaps because of this Iltalehti was contacted, if not bombarded, by female readers that had gone head over heels for the shirtless construction workers in Töölö, Helsinki.

The CEO of Taavico Ltd. Taavi Siikaluoma was asked if the boys had received suggestive glances from women.

“We haven’t received any suggestive remarks, or we could have, but I just haven’t heard of it. There is no doubt in my mind that the boys wouldn’t enjoy hearing these suggestions.”

Siikaluoma says that the location of the work is not that optimal to hear any suggestions. The company was fixing the tram tracks on Mannerheimintie last week.

“This place is so busy, so the female drivers don’t really have the time to stop here.”

Nevertheless there has been at least some entertainment.

“Women have stopped to give a quick whistle,” said construction worker Nils.

The work on the tram tracks has been smooth and there haven’t been any unnecessary disturbances.

“Slight overcast is the best weather for this kind of a job. At the moment it is kind of hot with the sun in the sky and the warm asphalt right next to you,” Siikaluoma says.
